Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember information about your visit — such as your login session — so you don't have to log in again on every page.
The Sentinel Football Hub platform uses a combination of:
All of these serve the same broad purpose: allowing the platform to function correctly and remember your preferences. This policy refers to all of them collectively as "cookies".
South Africa does not have a specific "cookie law" equivalent to the EU's ePrivacy Directive. However, the use of cookies that involve the processing of personal information is regulated by POPIA's openness and transparency conditions (Sections 13-14), which require us to notify you of how your information is processed.
Our cookie practices are designed to be consistent with both POPIA and the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), as our infrastructure provider Supabase is EU-based and we follow a GDPR-mirror approach as best practice.
Essential cookies (authentication and security) are necessary for the platform to function. They do not require your consent under either POPIA or GDPR. All other cookies are minimised or avoided entirely.
These cookies are required for the platform to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking the platform.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising network trackers. Analytics are internal to the platform and anonymised before storage.
The following third-party services are integrated into the platform and may set their own cookies or use browser storage. These are the only third-party services we use:
Supabase processes authentication and stores your platform data. Authentication tokens are managed in your browser's local storage by the Supabase JavaScript client library. Supabase is GDPR-compliant and maintains a data processing agreement with us. Their privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.
We load the Inter typeface from Google Fonts for visual consistency. Google Fonts serves fonts from Google's CDN and may log the request IP address for caching purposes. This is a one-time request to load the font file. Google's privacy policy applies to this service. No personal information from the Sentinel platform is shared with Google.
We load icon assets from the Font Awesome CDN (Cloudflare). This is a static asset request. Cloudflare's standard CDN privacy policy applies. No personal information is shared.
Payment flows use Paystack's hosted checkout. When you interact with a payment form, Paystack's cookies and privacy policy govern that interaction. We do not handle or store payment card details. Paystack's privacy policy is available at paystack.com/privacy.
The platform is hosted on Vercel's infrastructure. Vercel may log standard web server request data (IP address, user-agent, request path) for security and performance purposes. Their privacy policy is available at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. All major browsers allow you to:

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be notified to active subscribers by email.
